2023 China's wood-based panel industry market supply and demand status and development trend

According to the "China's wood-based Panel Industry Development Report 2022" released in December 2022, the elimination of backward production capacity of China's wood-based panel industry has accelerated, and the industrial structure has continued to optimize. By the end of 2021, the country has more than 13,200 wood-based panel production enterprises, including nearly 190 large production enterprises and enterprise groups, with a total annual production capacity of about 57 million cubic meters, accounting for 18.1% of the total production capacity, and the annual production capacity of more than 1 million cubic meters of enterprise groups rose to 9.

From 2012 to 2021, China's wood-based panel production generally showed a fluctuating upward trend, but the growth rate slowed down. In 2017, China's wood-based panel production showed negative growth for the first time, but China is still one of the world's largest wood-based panel production countries. In 2021, the national production of wood-based panels was 352 million cubic meters, an increase of 8.30%.
